Welcome to the Savvy Guitar Woodshed! First off, about the name . . . the term woodshedding has been used by musicians for quite some time as a way to describe practicing. Well, actually, more than just practicing. Woodshedding is the need to isolate oneself to dig into the hard mechanics of music and to work out the techniques that form the foundation of your musical ability.
